I believe credit should be given where it is due. Always highlight the positives. Focus on what can be unified and integrated. Yet, the spotlight must, without fail, be directed where it needs to shine.
So, riddle me this: Why would a far-right Norwegian MP — which makes him part of the opposition in the liberal democracy and constitutional monarchy of Norway — be inclined to nominate an impeached American president for a Nobel Peace Prize?
Why would he choose to nominate an inept, bumbling thug under scrutiny for criminal acts, corrupt practices and nauseating incompetence? A crooked oddball who has cheated repeatedly on his many wives, flagrantly thumbed his nose at thousands of contractors and lenders to whom he owes money, bankrupted several businesses, attempted to bilk his niece and nephew out of their rightful inheritance and lied to Americans on a plethora of issues, not the least of which is the severity of the COVID-19 pandemic. Spanning decades, this nominee has been a lout, conman and grifter — first as a private citizen then as a president. So, what would motivate such an epic gesture from the Norwegian MP?
