Most women care enough about seeding fairness, progress and value that we have become willing to forgo receiving credit for our thoughts and ideas. We have been conditioned to 'stand behind our man,' and men have been nurtured to 'stand tall, take action, and protect their women.' It has been built into our cultural norms for generations.

I'm not sure who is to blame, but I suspect it might be a byproduct of wartimes and settling the wild west. You know, 'It's the cowboy way.' There are dozens, maybe hundreds, of country songs about standing behind your man. And, we've all heard this one: "Behind every successful man stands a good woman."
